The YES YOU MAY Tour
A BOOK RELEASE TOUR
TARA HARDY & ELAINA M. ELLIS
Read our first review hereto get an idea of what you're in for!
Join us to welcome two new books to the world: BRING DOWN THE CHANDELIERS by Tara Hardy, and WRITE ABOUT AN EMPTY BIRDCAGE by Elaina M. Ellis. The YES YOU MAY Show is a celebration, a narration, and a raucous release of these two collections presented by Write Bloody Publishing.
The June 3rd first-performance-ever of YES YOU MAY brought a sold-out, standing-room-only crowd to the Fremont Abbey Arts Center in Seattle. See what all the buzz is about by booking a show in your town too!
The YES YOU MAY show, which will tour Nationally in 2011-2012, invites audiences to write their own outrageous self-permission slips. What is it that you thought you could never say? Who is it that you thought you should never be? What if you were suddenly allowed to live your dreams? Shouting YES and other expletives, Tara Hardy and Elaina M. Ellis will lovingly, bossingly, demonstrate what's possible when raw honesty and bold permission get on stage together.

Gay marriage is coming to Washington State, and it turns out the queers have something to say about it. FOREVER, OR WHATEVER is not your grandmother’s lace doily. It’s not about Ellen and Portia, and it’s not a political debate. It’s a homoromantic confession, brought to you by eight Seattle writers who know a thing or two about heartbeats and tuxedos. It’s a Valentine’s show or an anti-Valentine, a marriage proposal or an off-the-grid love story. It’s commitment-phobic, it’s commitment-obsessed, it’s an inside conversation spoken out loud. Featuring:
Patch Avery, Teacher at Bent Writing Institute
Laurie Cox, Published in Fantasy: Untrue Stories of Lesbian Passion
Elaina M. Ellis, Author of Write About an Empty Birdcage
Amber Flame, AKA Last of the Red Hot Mamas
Marita Isabel, Host of Seattle Spit, 2010-2011 host of Seattle Poetry Slam
Cass Hodges, AKA Cowboy Cass
Chris Shorne, Teacher at Bent Writing Institute
Lane Stroud, Founder of Mae Pictures
Grab a ticket today for your date or your bridesmaid or your own handsome self. Partial proceeds will benefit Camp Ten Trees, in thanks for their support of LGBTQ and/or non-traditional families.
