                                          HEAT.  A writing workshop.

Instead of waiting for summer to truly start in Seattle, we'll set our words ablaze & and warm the city with our poetry!

Held in an intimate setting, with a limited number of participants, the evening will explore the concept of heat in poetry. How do writers capture red-hot moments using imagery and color? How does a poem go beyond describing temperature, to the point where its very structure mimics the crackling of a fire or the steady rise of a thermostat?

Come prepared to sweat (metaphorically speaking, of course!). This supportive workshop is suitable for writers of all levels.

                                          WHEN: Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011.  7-9:30 p.m.

WHERE: TumbleMe headquarters, Seattle.  RSVP for address.

WORKSHOP FEE: $60 includes the workshop, a packet of poems and prompts to use at home, and a light dinner. A limited number of sliding-scale spots are available for low-income writers.

RSVP and payment due by July 28th. Contact elaina@tumbleme.org for registration and payment information.
